P K Roy Memorial College is the most desired and favoured destination for higher education in this part of Jharkhand. Established in 1960, the college is imparting education right from Memorial College Intermediate to postgraduation degree. In view of its popularity and quality education being imparted the Government of Jharkhand in the year 2017 declared the college as one of the Premier College of Jharkhand and gave substantial financial support to the college to improve its NAAC grade from B to A and achieve better ranking in the country.
